Custom software training

Software training that teaches users what they really need to do

Explaining complex software requires more than a screen recording. Maxcademy translates processes, functionalities, and specialist product knowledge into interactive software training that employees, customers, and partners can follow independently.

Software demos · interactive simulations · video · Articulate Rise · SCORM/xAPI · LMS-ready

From software knowledge to independent use

Not every function needs to be included in the training. We teach users the workflows, choices, and actions that are relevant to their role.

Software training at scale

Maxcademy develops software training for organisations where product or system knowledge is too complex, variable, or extensive to explain in a classroom setting each time.

When software training adds value

The question is usually not whether the software needs to be explained, but how to do it without experts, trainers, and support teams having to repeat the same story each time.

New software is being introduced

Employees need to learn to use a new system without everyone having to attend a classroom training at the same time.

The software is constantly changing

Training must be easy to maintain when screens, processes, or functionalities change after a release.

Experts know too much to explain everything themselves

Product owners, consultants, and developers know the system, but usually do not have the time to convert that knowledge into didactically strong learning content themselves.

Different roles use the same software differently

An administrator, end user, and manager do not need to learn the same functions. We design learning paths around relevant workflows.

Customers or partners need to be able to learn independently

Customer education and partner training can relieve support and make product knowledge available regardless of time and location.

The training must work in an existing LMS

We can work directly in the learning environment or deliver the training as SCORM/xAPI for use in almost any LMS.

We first learn how your software is used in practice

Maxcademy does not need to be the Subject Matter Expert of your software in advance. We collaborate with product experts, consultants, developers, and key users, and immerse ourselves in the subject matter to the level that the learner needs to understand.

This allows us to ask the right questions: what tasks does someone actually perform? Where do errors occur? Which exceptions are important? And which functions should not be included in the training?

The content expert validates the product knowledge. Maxcademy takes care of Learning Design, scripts, production, interaction, project management, QA, and technical delivery.

1. Analysis of roles and workflows

What should each target group be able to do independently after the training?

2. Didactic design and scripts

We distill expert knowledge into logical, task-oriented learning steps.

3. Production and simulation

Video, walkthroughs, click demos, interactive simulations, knowledge questions, and practical assignments.

4. Testing, delivery, and maintenance

We test the training in the LMS and can continue to update content even after releases.

Not every action requires the same form of learning

We choose the form based on what someone needs to be able to do: recognise, understand, decide, or actually perform.

Video & walkthroughs

Useful for explanations, context, and demonstrating complete workflows.

Interactive software demos

Users click through a reconstructed or simulated workflow themselves.

Scenarios

Practising with decisions, exceptions, and realistic practical situations.

Quizzes & assessments

Checking whether users truly understand functions and workflows.

Articulate Rise

Responsive modules that combine explanation, demo, video, interaction, and assessment.

SCORM / xAPI / LMS

Delivery for your existing LMS or direct production in the learning environment.

Do you already have an LMS? Then we will simply work with that LMS.

You do not need to purchase Maxcademy Learn for us to develop software training.

We work extensively with Articulate Rise and provide SCORM or xAPI for virtually any LMS. We can also work directly in your learning environment and assist with upload, testing, completion status, scores, and technical QA.

Do you not have an LMS yet? Then we can provide Maxcademy Learn or independently think along about a platform that suits your organisation.

Platform-independent

Content-first: first the right training, then the best technical way to make it available.

Frequently asked questions about software training

Yes. Depending on the purpose, we can create screen recordings, click demos, or interactive simulations. This allows a user to practice actions without access to a production environment.

Yes. We start precisely with roles, tasks, and workflows. An end user, administrator, consultant, or manager does not need to learn the same functionalities.

Yes. Existing manuals, PowerPoints, recordings, knowledge base articles and expert interviews can serve as sources. We do not put them online one-to-one, but use them to design a task-oriented learning experience.

Yes. We can continue to maintain training after delivery. For example, at Mavim, Maxcademy continuously supports the updating of training content as the product changes.

Yes. Maxcademy works a lot with Articulate Rise and can deliver e-learning as SCORM or xAPI for almost any standard LMS. We can also test the module in the LMS.

The price mainly depends on the length, the number of roles and workflows, and the amount of simulation, video, and interaction.

For reference: a regular custom e-learning module of about 15 minutes costs around € 1,500 excluding VAT at Maxcademy. Software training with many interactive demos or complex simulations usually requires a separate calculation.

A short e-learning module can usually be developed within a few weeks. For larger software academies, we work modularly, so that components can be developed, tested, and published in phases.

Do you have complex software that people need to learn to use independently?

Tell us which software, target audience, and workflows you want to train. We will think along about the fastest and most maintainable learning solution.

You do not yet need a detailed script or course design. If you connect us with the right experts, we can handle the translation to e-learning.
